the words today I am thankful

God, Thank You

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. – Psalm 100: 4-5

The old Christian mystics felt that if all you could say is “God, thank-you” then you’ve said enough.
So at the beginning of this Thanksgiving month of October, with our themes of gratitude, appreciation, and celebration, with so much that is wrong with the world that could consume our time and attention, I won’t say another word but offer a prayer of gratitude.
God thank-you,
