Decades of Dedication

After decades of dedicated service with The Salvation Army, Brenda Wootten and Neil Church have retired. They held integral roles at Toronto Housing & Homeless Supports, providing support to every aspect of the work we do for many, many years.

Brenda Wootten’s first job with The Salvation Army was as a waitress at Scotian Glen Camp. Since then, she has held a number of different roles over her 30+ years of service from Human Trafficking Advocacy to Director at Florence Booth House. Brenda provided knowledgeable support as the Director of Human Resources since the integration of THHS.

Neil Church began his career with The Salvation Army as an Envoy, pastoring in Cochrane, Ontario. He served as an Officer for many years, worked at Territorial Headquarters, and completed his 43+ years of service as the Business Manager for Maxwell Meighen Centre and then for all of THHS.

We will be forever grateful for the way they strived to be “The Hand of God, in the Heart of the City.”
