Florence Booth House Turns Fifteen Too

On Thursday, February 12th 2015, just two days early, The Salvation Army Florence Booth House hosted an all day celebration to mark its upcoming 15th Anniversary. This celebration was a time where both staff and residents to came together to reminisce and be thankful for the opportunity we have to carry out our mission within these walls.

Our Executive Director Bradley Harris opened the day with a devotional that celebrated the work we do at Florence Booth House every day.

Our Chaplain held a musical chapel service where staff and residents were able to dance and sing praising the Lord for all the blessings He has provided. During the service, the staff shared memories of years past and held a moment of remembrance for a staff member we lost early last year. Even though she couldn’t be with us at this time of celebration, her spirit was felt in every song that was sung during the service.

The afternoon was filled with activities; games, arts & crafts and snacks, including a beautiful cake, donated by Dufflet Pastries, that everyone thoroughly enjoyed!

It was a fantastic day of fellowship and celebration. The team at Florence Booth House continues to live out our mission to provide compassionate, unconditional support to the women we serve in all areas of their lives: mind, body and soul.
